Cold-formed steel sheet piles are continuously rolled and formed by a cold-forming unit, and the side locks can be continuously overlapped to form a steel structure with a sheet pile wall. Its production cost is lower, the price is cheaper, and the fixed-length control is more flexible. However, due to the crude processing method, the thickness of each part of the pile body is the same, and the cross-sectional size cannot be optimized, resulting in an increase in the amount of steel used; the shape of the locking part is difficult to control, the joints are not fastened tightly, and water cannot be stopped; due to the capacity constraints of the cold bending processing equipment, only It can produce products with low steel strength and thin thickness; and the stress generated during the cold bending process is large, and the pile body is prone to tearing during use, so its application has great limitations. In engineering construction, the application range of cold-formed steel sheet piles is relatively narrow, and most of them are only used as supplementary materials. Features of cold-formed steel sheet piles: According to the actual conditions of the project, the most economical and reasonable cross-section can be selected to optimize the engineering design. It saves 10-15% of materials compared with hot-rolled steel sheet piles of the same performance, greatly reducing construction costs.
Currently, due to production conditions and scale limitations, there is no production line for hot-rolled steel sheet piles in China. The hot-rolled steel sheet piles used in our country come from abroad.

(1) Cold-formed steel sheet piles include non-bite type cold-formed steel sheet piles (also called channel plates) and bite-type cold-formed steel sheet piles (divided into L-type, S-type, U-type, and Z-type) . Advantages: standardized size, superior performance, reasonable cross-section, high quality, and tight water-proof lock bite. Disadvantages: greater technical difficulty, higher production costs, and inflexible specification series.
